The Abbots Autumn Fest will be held on Saturday 14th September 2024, on School Mead, Abbots Langley WD5 0LA, from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
A village festival celebrating its orchard heritage at the Autumn equinox to promote local food and food producers.
This family festival in the village of Abbots Langley is a fun-packed day to promote local growers, food producers, crafts and community and to celebrate its orchard history in a friendly and intimate atmosphere of music, fun, games, and laughter.
Gathered on School Mead, there has been an autumn festival here since 2015, promoting local food and against a back-drop of live music and performances, local groups and societies, and activities for all ages.
The event is an opportunity to pick up fresh fruit and vegetables, admire and purchase artisan crafts and gifts, and to sample locally grown and produced foods, and beers.
In the lead up to the day itself, younger festival-goers are encouraged to make Scarecrows which appear around the village and in the High Street shop windows.
Previous events and activities have included puppet shows, drumming, tombola, raffles, lucky dip, cycle routes, apple-bobbing, coconut shy, face painting, fun fair, apple-pressing, sand art, bug hotels, and archery.
The next event will be held next on Saturday 14th September 2024 between 11:00am and 4:00pm.
